Following a competitive design process Fuse was successful in being appointed for the interior design of all communal spaces together with the 127 Studio,1,2,3 Bed Apartments and Penthouses. A detailed review of the existing drawings was undertaken with revised layouts submitted that focussed on residents’ wellbeing by increasing the visual connection to the external spaces wherever possible. In addition, bespoke joinery items were designed and detailed to become intrinsic to the apartment layouts allowing residents to work from home in a comfortable environment.
Designed with a sophisticated aesthetic and generous open plan living spaces with architectural features, Hudson Quarter utilises authentic, traditional materials to offer contemporary living within York’s historic city wall. Helping to cement the development strapline of ‘Redefining Exceptional’ the apartments have set a new benchmark for York’s city apartments.
The interior design scope included review and appraisal of all apartment layouts supporting the branding agency to establish a wider palette of materials, signage design, full FF&E selection and technical drawings of all the apartments and public space.
