Residential

From large scale student residential projects of more than one thousand bed spaces, to individual, hand-crafted private apartments, the Fuse team has worked across the full residential spectrum, both in new build and refurbishment schemes. Working with their clients and combining interior design with architecture, Fuse has the capacity to design from the inside out to ensure that completed projects provide real homes, not architectural edifices. Strong design skills are also complemented by an appreciation of the often tough reality of residential funding requirements and the hoops that our developer clients sometimes have to jump through. In order to assist our clients, Fuse brings comprehensive experience and an understanding of the need to balance cost and value. No project demonstrates all these combined qualities better than the recently completed Candle House at Granary Wharf in Leeds: designed and delivered by Simon Clarke and his team prior to his departure from careyjones.

In 1984 Liverpool hosted a Garden Festival on a site a couple of miles out of the city centre, on land reclaimed from the River Mersey. Substantial swathes of this land were developed over time for residential use; linking to the existing St Michael’s conurbation. However, the heart of the Festival Gardens itself had lain dormant for over twenty years until purchased by Langtree Group.
